A woman in Texas recently created a shirt that said, “Black lives matter” with the slogan “Black mothers are pregnant,” as a way to protest the deaths of six Black women killed by police officers since the inauguration of Donald Trump.
“Black moms are pregnant” reads the front of the shirt.
“Pregnant Black women” says the back of the t-shirts, and the hashtag is used in a manner similar to the ones used in the “Black On Black Crime” t-shirts.
A photo of the shirts was posted on the tumblr site Black-Women-Moms, which is popular among the Black women and queer communities.
According to The Washington Post, the tshirts have been selling on the website for more than $150.
Black women who make the shirts say that they are inspired by Black mothers who are concerned about their health and safety.
“It feels like a symbol of Black moms that’s really healing us in a way,” Stephanie Jackson told The Washington Times.
“I think it’s important for us to have a sense of solidarity, especially for Black women.
And I think it also shows us that we’re not alone, we’re just not as strong as others.”
Black women in particular have expressed concern about the fact that the Black Lives Matter movement is gaining momentum, and that Black women are now being targeted by police and their communities.
In the days after the election of Donald J. Trump, the Black Panthers, who had been in the forefront of organizing Black lives during the riots that broke out in 1968, took a hardline stance on police brutality.
The group also released a video in which members urged their followers to stop buying Black Lives Matters merchandise and to support Black Lives, rather than the Black nationalist group, the National Socialist Movement.
“If you’re a Black man, or a woman, you can’t just sit there and just be silent,” Black Panther Billie Holiday said in the video.
“There’s got to be some way that you can come out and speak up.”
However, some Black women have defended the group’s stance, saying that it does not align with the actions of Black people.
In a piece for the Huffington Post, author and activist Jada Pinkett-Smith said that Black mothers “need to understand that the protests they are participating in are not really about their own health or safety.
They are about Black lives.
And they are about our communities, and they are also about the Black bodies that are being killed by the police.”
She continued, “We are protesting the police killing of Black lives, not the Black lives of police.”
